Job summary

Humberston Academy is seeking a motivated Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a range of needs, including SEND, enabling access to an inclusive curriculum. You will work with the Quality of Education Team to implement strategies and coordinate intervention to boost learning outcomes.

You will support SENCO responsibilities, liaising with external agencies and families, and help review plans following the SEND Code of Practice, contributing to a collaborative approach to pupil wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with a range of needs, including SEN, to access an inclusive curriculum.
• Ability to observe, record and report on student progress and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Develop an in depth understanding of individual and group student needs.
• Guide and empower students to pursue personal care and developmental targets.
• Provide practical assistance with physical needs to support PHSE, independence and learning.
• Observe and record student progress and share information to inform assessment.
• Plan and lead routine learning activities for individuals or groups.
