Job summary

The Diocese of York is seeking two Senior Advanced Teaching Assistants to collaborate with teachers, the SENCO and our inclusion team to plan, deliver, and evaluate impactful learning activities across the school. You will support individuals and groups, implement targeted interventions and nurture social, emotional and academic growth.

• Substantial experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and positive behaviour management.
• Commitment to inclusion, equality and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning activities with teachers and SENCO.
• Support individuals and groups with targeted interventions to raise attainment.
• Foster social, emotional and academic development and growth.
• Build and sustain partnerships with families to support pupil wellbeing.
• Support induction and development of classroom support staff and share best practice.
