Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience of working with groups of children to deliver high quality interventions and support.
• Excellent classroom practitioner with commitment to engaging learning.
• Experience of working with class teachers and with children with EAL.
• GCSE Maths & English at Grade C and Level 3 qualification required.
• 3 years of experience caring for children are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivering specific work programmes in more depth for children with special needs.
• Supervise whole classes during short-term absences in line with guidance.
• Monitor and report individual children’s progress to the teacher or supervisor.
• Assist the teacher in planning work programmes for individuals and groups.
• Support with the delivery of educational and developmental activities.
• Promote equality, dignity and respect in line with school policy.
