Job summary

Ulverston Victoria High School seeks a Senior Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff and the SENCO, delivering agreed work programmes with individuals and groups in and out of the classroom.

The successful candidate will have recent experience working with young people and hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent, with responsibilities including supervising groups and helping learners engage, build confidence and achieve learning goals.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint a SeniorTeaching Assistant (STA) to work under the guidance of Teaching/Senior Staffand within an agreed system of supervision, to implement agreed work programmeswith individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. The Senior Teaching Assistants may supervisegroups, delivering programmes under the direction of the SENCO with the primaryfocus to encourage the learning, engagement and confidence of students.
