Base pay range

(Senior) Tax Manager | London | Hybrid | £75,000-105,000 + Bonus + Package (DOE) | Asset Management

We are working with an incredibly exciting Asset Manager who are expanding their London tax team. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing team and, learn from an industry leader within the Asset Management space.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert tax support on a wide range of fund structures, including UK OEICs, Luxembourg SICAVs, and other common fund vehicles.
• Advise on withholding tax and capital gains tax implications for funds and portfolio investors across global markets.
• Monitor and interpret tax developments affecting fund products and investment strategies, ensuring compliance and identifying planning opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal, Product Development, and Investment teams to support fund launches, restructures, and ongoing operations.
• Liaise with external advisors and tax authorities as needed to resolve complex tax issues.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of internal tax policies, procedures, and controls.
• Take ownership of your workload and career development, with the support and mentorship of the wider Tax Team.
• Stay current with evolving tax legislation and market practices, and proactively seek opportunities to expand your technical knowledge.

About You

• Proven experience in fund taxation, ideally gained in an in-house asset management environment or a leading advisory firm.
• Strong technical knowledge of fund tax matters, particularly relating to UK OEICs, Luxembourg SICAVs, and cross-border investment taxation.
• Familiarity with withholding tax and capital gains tax issues affecting funds and their investors.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional tax or accounting qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Experience with other fund jurisdictions
• Knowledge of operational tax matters (e.g., FATCA, CRS) is advantageous.
