Job summary

JoVE is seeking a Senior Talent & Organization Development Specialist to build and execute programs that strengthen employee development, career growth, talent and succession planning, build manager capability, and support organizational effectiveness across JoVE.

The ideal candidate is strategic and hands-on, able to identify needs, design practical solutions, and drive programs from concept through measurement in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in HR, Organizational Development or related field.
• Proven track record designing and executing talent or OD initiatives with measurable outcomes.
• Experience implementing career architecture, talent reviews, succession planning, HiPo development, or manager development.
• Ability to take programs from concept to execution and manage multiple initiatives to deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills to gain buy-in from managers and senior leaders.
• Data-driven approach to evaluate program effectiveness and identify gaps.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain career architecture frameworks across functions and roles.
• End-to-end design and delivery of live virtual and in-person workshops focused on talent and skill development.
• Support global rollout and adoption of JoVE's core values and Leadership Principles.
• Define job levels, skills, competencies, experience, and performance expectations for progression.
• Partner with functional leaders to design and execute development programs aligned with career architecture.
• Build manager training and resources in performance management, coaching and feedback, 1:1s, goals and KPIs.
• Develop initiatives such as targeted training, stretch assignments, mentoring, and structured development plans.
• Support talent review processes, including HiPo identification, talent assessments, and succession planning.
• Partner with HR and leadership to identify organizational talent gaps and address them with initiatives.
• Support design and execution of employee recognition programs aligned with company values.
