Qualifications

• Experience delivering systems engineering within defence, aerospace, nuclear, energy, infrastructure or government programmes.
• Experience leading requirements engineering, architecture, integration, verification and validation activities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management with senior technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to mentor engineers and lead multidisciplinary teams across complex projects.
• Knowledge of MOD acquisition processes and KiD, plus experience supporting engineering transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the application of systems engineering principles, processes and standards across the engineering lifecycle.
• Define and manage requirements, ensuring traceability through design, integration, verification and validation.
• Lead architecture development and solution design for complex systems and capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams, work packages and engineering activities.
• Apply systems, architecture and digital engineering techniques to support analysis, integration and decision-making.
• Conduct technical assessments, trade studies and engineering analysis to inform programme decisions.
• Support system integration, acceptance and transition to operational use.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, mentor engineers, contribute to business growth and apply MOD acquisition knowledge, KiD.
