Job summary

Lynx Recruitment is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for a leading defence and maritime engineering organisation. You will contribute across the full engineering lifecycle from concept through in-service support on mission-critical systems.

The role requires strong MBSE, requirements management and experience in regulated industries. Hybrid working and generous benefits are offered, with salary up to £70,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
• Significant experience as a Systems Engineer in a complex engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of requirements capture, management and verification.
• Experience using requirements management tools.
• Knowledge of MBSE principles and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical work packages or engineering teams.
• Experience in defence, maritime, aerospace or other regulated industries.
• Experience of sonar systems or underwater sensing is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Define, manage and verify system requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Support technical aspects of bids and proposals.
• Lead systems integration, verification and qualification activities.
• Plan and execute product trials, testing and validation.
• Produce and manage technical work packages.
• Support design proving, commissioning and in-service support activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and contribute to continuous improvement.
