Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Barnstaple, North Devon with hybrid working. You’ll lead system design from concept through development, integration, testing and in‑service support on complex defence and maritime programmes.

Join a multidisciplinary team, define and manage system requirements using MBSE, support bids and customer engagements, and drive engineering excellence across the full lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Extensive full lifecycle systems engineering experience.
• Strong requirements capture and MBSE knowledge.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Experience in defence, maritime, sonar environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle.
• Define and manage system requirements using MBSE.
• Support design, integration, verification and qualification.
• Develop engineering work packages delivering on cost, quality and schedule.
• Provide input into bids and customer-facing activities.
• Support product trials, testing and commissioning.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust solutions.
