Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer in Barnstaple (Hybrid Working) to drive system design from concept to in-service support on complex defence and maritime technologies.

The role requires MBSE experience, strong requirements management, and proven leadership in technical activities or mentoring engineers. Relocation may be considered; excellent collaboration across multidisciplinary teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
• Extensive experience as a Systems Engineer across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with MBSE and requirements management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading technical activities or mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities across the full engineering lifecycle.
• Define, capture and manage system requirements using industry-standard tools.
• Support system design, integration, verification, qualification and in-service support.
• Develop and execute engineering work packages, ensuring delivery to cost, quality and schedule.
• Provide technical input into bids, proposals and customer-facing activities.
• Support product trials, testing and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver robust technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and systems engineering best practices.
