Job summary

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer to lead large Cargo and Handheld product engineering projects within the Cargo Division. You will collaborate with R&D to introduce new technologies and establish cost-effective engineering processes focused on safety, efficiency and performance.

The role covers end-to-end project management from concept through production, including roadmap contributions and interaction with Product Management to balance budgets, schedules and specifications.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience as an engineer in a relevant field of work.
• BEng/BSc in an Engineering or related field; strong experience considered.
• Desirable: MEng/MSc in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, control and utilization of key engineering project activities for Cargo and Handheld products.
• Execute New Product Introduction programs on time and to budget.
• Review product manuals, work instructions, and BoMs prior to launch.
• Provide engineering leadership across full product lifecycle, including sustainment and end-of-life.
