Job summary

Abtrace Ltd. is seeking a Systems Administrator to own our internal infrastructure, identity and endpoint estate in a hands-on role within a small team. You will manage AWS, Microsoft 365, Entra ID and device management across Windows and macOS, ensuring security, audit readiness and runbooks.

This role supports clinicians and operations, with a hybrid, Paddington-based setup. The successful candidate will drive automation (PowerShell/Bash/Python), maintain backups and disaster recovery, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in systems administration, infrastructure or IT engineering.
• Production AWS administration experience.
• Strong Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
• Endpoint management at scale (Intune, Jamf, Kandji).
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Solid networking fundamentals (DNS/DHCP/VPN/TLS).

Responsibilities

• Own AWS infrastructure across development and production, including IAM, networking, EC2 and managed services.
• Maintain backup, restore testing and disaster recovery procedures.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Bash or Python.
• Manage internal networking, DNS, VPN and firewall configurations.
• Own Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, including conditional access and licensing.
• SSO and provisioning for internal SaaS apps.
• Device management across Windows and macOS with Intune, Jamf or Kandji.
• Joiner/mover/leaver processes; asset register upkeep.
• Triaging internal Jira tickets; meet SLAs; handle access requests.
• Maintain runbooks and documentation; mentor junior staff.
• Lead controls in ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, DSPT and related audits.
