Location: Flexible, UK - Nearest Babcock Hub as contractual location + Hybrid Working Arrangements

The Role

As a Senior Systems Accountant, you’ll be responsible for maintaining data within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring smooth finance transactional data processes, and helping improve the efficiency and standardization of month-end processing and financial master data.

Within Finance Business Services (FBS), the Finance Systems team owns and maintains a suite of finance systems and is responsible for delivering innovation to improve functionality, data integrity, and security. Responsibilities include:

• Processing and controlling month-end activities to meet deadlines.
• Maintaining master data and investigating data inconsistencies.
• Responding to finance system incidents promptly and adhering to SLAs.
• Supporting ERP projects and enhancements with business and technical teams.
• Setting up and releasing projects within the ERP.

This role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential Experience

• Strong aptitude for finance processes and data management.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills for data compilation.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Background in finance, AAT Level 3 qualification (or working towards), or a systems (ERP) background with an interest in finance.
