The Role
As a Senior Systems Accountant, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Responsible for the maintenance of data within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring finance transactional data processes without issue and for helping improve the efficiency and the standardisation of month end processing and financial master data.

Day-to-day, you’ll be sitting within Finance Business Services (FBS), the Finance Systems team own and maintain a suite of finance systems and are responsible for delivering innovation to provide improved functionality, and data integrity and security. Owning financial system processes and ensuring robust and proportionate controls. Further responsibilities include:

• Responsible for the processing and controls of month end activities to ensure deadline, for example month end reporting is met.
• Responsible for the maintenance of master data. Proactively investigate and correct any data inconsistencies.
• Ensure finance systems incidents are responded to in a timely manner and adherence to agreed SLAs.
• Support business and technical teams in relation ERP projects and enhancements.
• Responsible for setting up and releasing of projects within the ERP.

This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements

Essential Experience of the Senior Systems Accountant:

• Strong aptitude for finance processes and data management.
• Demonstrable experience of SAP or other ERP Systems.
• Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills in data compilation.
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional customer service skills.
• You will either have a Finance background, AAT Level 3 Qualification (or working towards) and wanting to move into a systems-based role or have a systems (ERP) background and an interest in Finance.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
