Job summary

Chaucer Group, a leading Lloyd’s insurer, is seeking a finance professional to drive syndicate reporting and regulatory submissions. You will prepare Lloyd’s analytics, annual statements, and manage ad hoc queries in collaboration with the Finance team.

Role emphasizes accuracy, timely delivery, and support for junior staff within a hybrid London-based environment. Strong Excel skills and Lloyd’s knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA or CIMA) with knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and reporting rules.
• Working knowledge of Lloyd’s accounting and reporting rules, UK GAAP, Solvency UK, Companies Act.
• Advanced Excel and report writing skills.
• Knowledge of Lloyd’s software is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Produce Syndicate reporting to Lloyd’s (Flash report, Solvency UK, US/Canada situs, RRQ/RRA, QMB, Schedule 3, NAIC).
• Prepare annual and underwriting year financial statements and analytics.
• Liaise with auditors and support the audit process.
• Contribute to internal controls and documentation of procedures.
• Support finance transformation projects and deliverables.
