Responsible for managing responsible business (RB) activities within the technology and manufacturing construct business unit (BU) to service projects based in London, and provide support for work winning, and the delivery of Mace's 2030 business plan and responsible business strategy.

You will be responsible for managing responsible business (RB) activities within the technology and manufacturing business unit (BU).We have projects based in London; site-based days are expected as part of the role.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering purpose-led and measurable outcomes on projects.
• Ensure all targets (legal, client and Mace) are being delivered.
• Do the basics right – legal compliance, legislation, Mace Way.
• Ensure projects contribute to the 2030 Mace business plan KPIs and targets.
• Awareness of client and market needs to evolve and maintain necessary competencies.
• Regular engagement with your client and consultants (share knowledge, check in, provide informative insights, project updates and case studies). Weekly site inspections with client and monthly client KPI reporting
• Data quality (i.e. QA the data sets) and identify insights that you can act upon. Drive improvements and better outcomes (not just reporting).
• Innovation – measure and track, deliver meaningful and measurable outcomes.
• Task management and delegation for onsite support
• Green certification management for LEED and BREEAM
• Bid support to the BU leads in construct. Delivering in an appropriate way to exceed the clients’ expectations but ensuring it is deliverable.

• Champion the business unit’s contribution to the delivery of the Mace 2026 business strategy priorities and corporate targets, in particular, awareness of project carbon metrics, while driving an increase in the business unit’s carbon handprint.
• Quality control, know your projects Sustainability numbers, and champion them across the teams and business unit.

You’ll need to have:

• Relevant degree and membership of an environmental or sustainability body.
• Proven track record of sustainability work >4 years.
• Knowledge of the construction process.
• Be able to translate technical topics into layperson language and articulate the value of sustainability.
• Communication skills, both oral and written.
• Be self-motivated and able to self-manage.
