Job summary

Colliers in London is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor – Valuations to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will deliver market-leading valuation advice across a diverse client base and across commercial assets.

You will undertake valuations across office, retail, and mixed-use sectors, produce Red Book-compliant reports, and help develop client relationships while mentoring junior team members in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualification is essential.
• Experience in commercial valuations, ideally in a consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of the UK property market and Red Book standards.
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills.
• Commercially aware with ability to build client relationships.

Job Description

At Colliers, we are continually growing and are looking for an experienced Senior Surveyor – Valuations to join our London team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing team, delivering market-leading valuation advice across a diverse client base.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality valuation services across a broad range of commercial assets, supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients. The position offers exposure to a varied portfolio and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile instructions.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

• Undertaking valuations across a range of commercial property sectors, including office, retail, and mixed-use assets
• Producing Red Book-compliant reports for a variety of purposes, including loan security, financial reporting, and strategic advisory
• Managing and developing client relationships, ensuring a high standard of service delivery
• Supporting junior team members where required and contributing to team development
• Collaborating with wider business lines to support cross-service client delivery

Qualifications

• Qualification: MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Experience: in property valuations, ideally with experience in commercial.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of property valuation techniques, market analysis, and the ability to interpret complex property data.
• Client-Focused: Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to collaborate with colleagues and mentor junior team members.
• Hybrid Working: Comfortable with hybrid working arrangements, managing your time between the office and remote work effectively.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and a proactive approach to ensuring the quality and accuracy of valuation reports.

• MRICS qualified (essential)
• Proven experience within commercial valuations, ideally within a consultancy environment
• Strong technical knowledge of the UK property market and RICS Valuation – Global Standards (Red Book)
• Excellent report writing and analytical skills
• Commercially aware with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Proactive, collaborative, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
