Job description

Senior Surveyor - Commercial Property Management

A Property and Asset Management team has a position available immediately in London for a Surveyor / Senior Surveyor.

Salary - £50,000 - £60,000 plus package (subject to experience)

The role will encompass all aspects of property management, predominantly working on multi-let offices in London. The successful candidate is expected to have experience in managing multi-let / service charge office properties, and to be a good communicator, self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple commercial properties independently for various clients.
• Collaborate with surveying colleagues (at all levels), facilities managers, property administrators, and the property management accounts team.
• Achieve exemplary rent collection.
• Review and enforce tenant lease covenant compliance.
• Set, manage, and report on annual maintenance and service charge budgets.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure delivery of all relevant services to the properties and clients.
• Contribute to a positive and progressive team and business culture.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven track record in commercial property management, with knowledge of Landlord & Tenant law, including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954.
• Experience managing single-let and multi-let office buildings.
• Strong understanding of budget setting, cost control, and service charge recovery/administration.
• Knowledge of building construction, M&E installations, and contract management.
• Experience with lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings, disposals, and acquisitions.
• Awareness of Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
• Good attention to detail, with strong numerical and written communication skills.
• Ability to write concise reports with well-argued conclusions and recommendations.
• Target-driven and capable of working in a busy team environment.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Knowledge of property management software such as TRAMPS and YARDI.
