Wates is seeking a Senior Surveyor to join our construction team in Leicestershire, focusing on high-profile, technically complex projects across multiple sectors.

About the Role

Our Senior Surveyors are key to our business, leading projects or clusters of packages with full accountability for developing and implementing pre- and post-contract strategies, managing commercial functions, and contract reporting. They work collaboratively with clients and industry specialists, focusing on value addition, compliance, commercial viability, and best practices.

As a Senior Surveyor, you will:

1. Manage the project commercial team to ensure all Wates main contract obligations are met, including procurement, sub-contract management, supply chain management, measurements, valuations, contractual notices, and change valuation.
2. Complete and submit monthly cost reports, procurement strategy updates, and progress reports, while developing tender and delivery strategies.
3. Agree on external valuations to maintain positive cash flow and produce final accounts for main and subcontractor agreements.
