Job summary

Kisimul Group in Brighton is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Adult Services – Supported Living to advocate for residents and deliver person-centred care under the Registered Manager.

You will lead by example, support the staff team, contribute to care planning, nutrition and hygiene, and maintain clear records. The role also involves coordinating recreational activities and liaising with families to sustain high standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Positively contribute to the personal development of residents with practical and emotional support.
• Lead by example, behave and communicate appropriately at all times.
• Design, implement, deliver and contribute in a wide range of innovative recreational events within the home and wider community.
• Using knowledge and experience, contribute positively to care planning and participate supportively in reviews, demonstrating knowledge regarding nutrition and hygiene.
• Maintain accurate, clear and concise record keeping.
• Take ownership for key-worker duties and strengthen links with families and relevant significant others.
• Work in partnership with the Manager to ensure streamlined service delivery and consistent communication across the homes.
• Proactively participate in supporting the staff team including carrying out supervisions as requested.
• Attend and contribute to staff meetings and hand-over meetings, ensuring information is disseminated appropriately and timely.
• Contribute positively to the training and development of the staff team.

SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER – ADULT SERVICES – SUPPORTED LIVING - TAIGH MIANNAN

Due to continued organisational growth and development opportunities for our current staff, we are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join our staff teams

About the position:

Reporting into the Registered Manager, the Senior Support Worker is responsible for advocating and providing person centred care. The Senior Support Worker will also support our staff team to perform their wide range of duties appropriately and effectively, ensuring they can deliver the best possible care and support to our residents.

What will you be doing:
