Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker for Loyd House in Northampton. The role covers 37.625 hours per week on a full‑time basis, with a rota that includes weekends and predominantly day shifts with possible night cover.

You will lead shifts, mentor colleagues and ensure the highest standard of care for service users. The post requires a Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it) and an Enhanced DBS.

Ensuring service users are treated with respect, dignity and in a way that enables and promotes their independence as individuals. Ensuring Active Care Group policies and procedures are adhered to and requirements of the Care Quality Commission are met. Senior Support workers will also be responsible for ensuring service users’ needs are met through ad-hoc shift leading and mentoring less experienced employees through on-the-job training.**What you'll have:*** Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.* Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.* Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.* Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.* Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.* Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations* Driving License would be preferable* Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.* Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBSWe also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions.
