Job summary

Cygnet Paddocks is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Widnes to deliver compassionate care for men with brain injury and complex mental health needs in a specialist neuropsychiatric rehabilitation setting.

You will work a structured rota across days and nights, with weekend shifts, contributing to recovery and ongoing support. The role requires at least 2 years in a similar setting and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in mental health care or supportive care setting.
• At least 2 years in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Offer enhanced care with a flexible and person-centred approach to all individuals in our care
• Support individuals to complete personal care activities while promoting dignity, choice and independence
• Provide guidance and encouragement through physical and emotional support
• Learn about individuals' specific needs and provide support in the most appropriate way
• Assist with medical and welfare needs and report concerns as required
• Support individuals to manage their behaviour and work towards agreed goals
• Support management in the day-to-day running of the service
• Undertake supervisory and administrative responsibilities, including supporting and supervising support workers
• Safeguard individuals and maintain a safe, clean and supportive environment for all
