Portman Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Support Worker for a 4-bed children's home in Crawley. You will lead shifts, provide a safe environment, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver tailored care and positive outcomes for young people.

• Minimum 12 months' experience in a children's home.
• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare.
• Experience or knowledge of child-centred, therapeutic approaches.
• Strong communication skills and a caring, resilient and flexible approach.
• Availability to work long day shifts and sleep-ins.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsabilidades

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
• Provide a safe, nurturing environment that promotes young people's wellbeing and development.
• Support the Registered Manager in maintaining high standards of care.
• Guide and support colleagues, working alongside other professionals to deliver therapeutic care.
• Prepare and implement care plans, maintain accurate records and complete progress reports.
• Build trusting relationships with young people and act as a positive role model.
• Support children with their everyday needs, encouraging independence, confidence and positive experiences.
