Job summary

Portman Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a residential home for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in Hemel Hempstead. You will provide consistent, child-centred support and work with the team to maintain a safe, nurturing environment.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in related care, at least 12 months' experience, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months' relevant experience.
• Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People, Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.
• Deliver child-centred, therapeutic and individualised care.
• Build positive relationships and promote independence and resilience.
• Support and guide other residential care team members.
• Assist with care plans, risk assessments and accurate record keeping.
