Job summary

Priory Group is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Stafford at Leonards Croft to join a dedicated residential care team. You will support residents with person-centred care plans, supervise shifts, and contribute to their wellbeing and independence.

You will work with qualified staff to implement care plans, manage records, handle medications safely, and participate in ongoing training to maintain high standards of practice.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Support Worker or Senior Support Worker is essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to supervise, coach, and motivate others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the delivery of person-centred support and care.
• Provide leadership during shifts, including handovers, role allocation, and effective communication.
• Ensure residents have person-centred plans in place and are supported to participate in meaningful activities.
• Deliver team supervisions and contribute to professional development.
• Administer medication safely and in line with procedures.
• Manage service users’ finances and contribute to budget management in accordance with policy.
• Complete and oversee accurate record-keeping, reporting, and compliance with legislation.
• Monitor and support team performance, addressing immediate operational issues as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date training and knowledge to ensure safe and effective practice.
