Job summary

Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker in West Bromwich to provide high-quality, person-centred care in a residential setting for a young individual with complex needs. The role requires empathy, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with the person and their family.

You will lead a small on-duty team, plan daily routines, manage care plans, logs, and medication, and collaborate with social workers and therapists.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in similar roles and settings.
• Patient, understanding and able to build trusting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the small team on duty and organise the daily routine.
• Use positive support and de-escalation techniques to handle difficult situations.
• Implement daily care and support plans for complex needs.
• Write accurate daily logs, incident reports and safely manage and administer medication.
• Coordinate with social workers, therapists and the young person's family.
• Plan activities to help the young person learn new skills, gain independence and thrive.
