Jupiter Recruitment is seeking a committed Senior Support Worker for a residential children’s care home in the Manchester area. You will lead a small team, deliver individualised care plans, and coordinate with social workers and families to support positive outcomes.

The role requires patience, empathy, and strong communication skills, with a focus on building trusting relationships and promoting safety and well-being for young people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care required.
• Experience in a similar role and setting preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead the small team on duty, organise the daily routine, ensuring the home runs smoothly and safely.
• Use positive support and de-escalation techniques to safely handle difficult situations and intense behaviours.
• Put the young person’s daily care and support plans into action, focusing on their complex needs.
• Write accurate daily logs, complete incident reports, and safely manage and administer medication.
• Speak with social workers, therapists, and the young person’s family regularly.
• Plan everyday activities that help the young person learn new skills, gain independence and thrive.
