Job summary

Cygnet Broughton House in Brant Broughton is seeking a Senior Support Worker to deliver outstanding care across a 42-hour week with a mixed day/night shift. You will join a 29-bed service for adults with learning disabilities, autism and behaviours that challenge, helping residents grow independence and community integration.

The role involves supporting management and staff, safeguarding, and providing physical and emotional support while using basic IT tools.

Qualifications

• Genuinely driven with a desire to make a real difference in people’s lives.
• Experienced in a readership role within healthcare.
• An excellent communicator & a good team player.
• Sensitive & intuitive with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment.
• Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence.
• Skilled in money management and completion of petty cash.
• Experienced with computer skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internet.

Responsibilities

• Support both management and team members in the day-to-day running of the service.
• Ensure duties are allocated effectively and safely.
• Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care.
• Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support.
• Learn about individuals’ specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way.
• Assist with medical & welfare needs and report as required.
