The Service

Dundee Housing with Care service is recruiting a Senior Support Worker for our Housing with Care services across Dundee. The role involves providing care and support to older people living independently with underlying health conditions and/or physical disabilities. The Senior Support Worker will work as part of four teams to deliver high-quality care, support individuals to achieve their personal outcomes, and supervise staff under the guidance of the Service Manager, following Scottish Social Services Council Codes of Practice and Hillcrest Futures Policies and Procedures.

You Will

As a Senior Support Worker, your responsibilities include:

• Providing direct support to individuals as outlined in their Personal Outcome Plans.
• Managing case coordination responsibilities on behalf of individuals and functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, mentoring new staff, and contributing to team development.
• Taking lead responsibility for a specific area of practice, assisting the line manager in providing professional leadership, conducting team meetings, and delivering formal supervision.
• Contributing to service improvements, ensuring individual needs are met through Outcome Planning and reviews, and maintaining relevant outcomes plans.
• Having attained an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care and holding or willing to undertake an SVQ3 in Health and Social Care.
• Registering with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of employment.
