You will have 60 relevant credit points towards the first year of a social work degree (such as HNC in social care or social sciences, K100, K101, or DD100).
You will provide supervisory and support services and carry a caseload of appropriate cases. Work alongside and under the direction of a senior or professionally qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
You will have experience working with relevant service user groups. You should have good oral and written communication skills, an understanding of issues affecting relevant service groups, good planning and organisational skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care. Flexibility to work between 8am and 8pm is required.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
