Role Description

Join Our Team as a Senior Support Worker

Location: Wellington, Somerset

Salary: £13.53 per hour (£26,383.50 pro-rata) plus benefits. Additional £50 per sleep-in shift.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday, on a shift rota basis. You will also be on the on-call rota.

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.

Driving Requirement: A valid full UK manual driving license is desirable but not essential.

Right To Work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer skilled worker visas.

Essential Criteria: Demonstrated experience with:

  • Complex Care Needs
  • Behaviours that Challenge
  • Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Sight Loss
  • Manual Handling/Hoisting/Personal Care

About You: We seek calm, patient, resilient individuals who can support engagement and interests of those we support.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading by example, providing support, supervising staff, and managing performance
  • Ensuring compliance with social care legislation and regulations
  • Maintaining accurate records, performing audits, and ensuring quality outcomes
  • Taking responsibility for the quality of care and support
  • Planning activities and supporting short- and long-term goals
  • Supporting individuals with activities, outings, and social engagements
  • Upholding respect, dignity, and equality for all supported individuals and their families
  • Holding a QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent, with willingness to undertake Level 3
  • Aligning with SeeAbility’s values

We value individuals with the right attitude, open-mindedness, and a good sense of humor. Availability for 37.5 hours weekly, including weekends, is required.
