Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Dover. In this role you will help people gain more independence and support the daily running of the residential service, including supervising staff, allocating shifts, and upholding care standards.

You will work with a dynamic team to support individuals with diverse needs, including behavioral and mental health challenges, ensuring compassionate, person-centred care and adherence to safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Level 3 in Health & Social Care
• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker
• Experience with enhanced support including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and trauma

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service
• Allocate shifts and train new colleagues
• Support people to gain independence and manage finances
• Ensure high quality daily support and DBS checks and references are completed

Senior Support Worker – Dover - £13.90 ph

Typical Shifts are : Weekday, Weekends and Sleep ins, Rotas can vary

Senior Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support are at the heart of our management teams. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Dover. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you’ll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
