Job summary

National Care Group Limited is recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join Merryden in Cinderford. You will assist senior management to assess support needs and help develop new ideas to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams in a care setting.
• Experience or progression towards a Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care.
• Ability to listen to needs, show empathy and respond respectfully.

• Support the Senior Management team to assess individuals' support needs.

Merryden (part of National Care Group) support individuals (18+) with complex and enduring mental health needs in South and West Wales. We have over 18 years knowledge and expertise behind us and an excellent record of helping individuals move on to independent living.

The Senior Support Worker Role

As a Senior Support Worker your role will be to assist in the senior management to assess peoples support needs and work with people we support to initiate and develop new ideas and methods regarding the quality of service.

The most important qualities needed are the ability to treat others with respect, listen to their needs and understand their emotions. Be Kind, friendly and honest.

The Ideal Candidate

• Supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Have a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or working towards this.
