Job description

Senior Support Worker - Airdferry Day Care Centre

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Skye & Lochalsh Integrated Community Team for a senior support worker at Airdferry Day Care Centre. This centre provides social engagement for service users and respite for carers.

We are seeking someone with experience working with older adults in a health and social care setting, who can bring enthusiasm and leadership qualities to the role. The position requires excellent organisational skills and strong communication abilities with staff, service users, professionals, and the wider community.

The role involves supporting staff in their duties, organising activities, procurement, managing daily staff situations, and working closely with the Day Care Services Manager. Providing transport is essential, with a driver employed and a mini-bus available. Support Workers may also use their own vehicles to transport service users where appropriate.

Candidates should be willing and able to undertake necessary training for service delivery. Successful applicants will need to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme and hold a valid driver’s license. Experience is desirable but not essential.
