A leading care provider is recruiting two Senior Residential Youth Workers to support vulnerable young people in a residential care home. The role focuses on guidance, interaction, and meeting varying needs of children aged 11 to 18. Successful candidates will need experience in the field and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. A commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment is essential, along with flexibility for shift work.
We are recruiting 2 highly ambitious and qualified Senior Residential Youth Workers to join our client's successful and experienced staff team in a children’s residential care home.
Candidates should ideally have at least 6 months of experience in a similar setting and possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a qualification of similar or higher standing.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with diverse disorders, behaviors, and needs. We require individuals who have the confidence, understanding, patience, and skills to work effectively with young people and positively influence their lives.
This position involves providing guidance, interaction, and support to children and young adults within residential care, aiming to create a safe environment addressing their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
As part of a team, you will support children and young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping.

Please note that successful candidates will need to complete an enhanced DBS check and participate in a paid five-day training program.

The role is based on a 38-hour week and includes sleep-in duties and occasional weekend shifts.
