A leading social care organization is seeking a Senior Support Worker in Glasgow to manage a team dedicated to supporting individuals with learning disabilities. The role involves staff management, liaising with external agencies, and direct care responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in social care and a commitment to developing their skills, with support for obtaining SVQ Level 3.

Our dynamic and friendly Housing support Glasgow team are on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with experience in care to join them as a Senior Support Worker on a full-time, permanent basis (37.5 hours per week).
In this role, you'll be managing a team of 12 Support Practitioners who deliver care and assistance to 2 individuals 1 who lives in his own home with 2:1 support and 1 who will be transitioning from residential child care to her own supported accommodation which is an exciting time to become involved. Both have a learning disability and complex needs within central Glasgow.
Our Senior Support Workers are classed as Front-Line Management staff and as such your duties would fall under three specific areas as follows:

For this fantastic opportunity, you will need at least 2 years previous experience of supporting individuals within a social care setting and already have or be willing to work towards your SVQ Level 3. This is a CALM’s Service where full training is provided.
A full UK manual driving licence and access to a car is desirable but not essential.
Shift patterns will include days, evening and weekends, waking nights based on the needs of the service.
