Job summary

iBC Healthcare is seeking a Senior Support Worker for our Supported Living service in Droylsden. You will deliver person-centred support to adults with complex needs, assist with daily tasks, medication rounds, and promote independence.

We offer full-time hours, a competitive hourly rate of £13.34, extensive training, career development, and a supportive team. Applicants should have at least 1 year of relevant experience and a proactive, compassionate approach.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Senior Support Worker with complex needs.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organisational skills.
  • Competence in IT and administrative tasks.
  • Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centred support to people with disabilities and complex needs.
  • Assist with daily tasks including medication rounds, cooking, cleaning, paperwork, and audits.
  • Provide emotional and practical support.

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our Supported Living service in Droylsden. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, champions person-centred care, and thrives in a dynamic, rewarding environment.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred support to people with disabilities and those with profound and complex needs
  • Assist with daily tasks including medication rounds, cooking, cleaning, paperwork, and audits
  • Provide emotional and practical support

  • Build strong, trusting relationships that promote independence and enhance quality of life
  • Empower individuals to learn new skills, pursue hobbies, and achieve personal goals

Supporting the Team & Service
  • Lead by example to deliver high-quality support
  • Assist the Team Leader with day-to-day running of shifts
  • Support colleagues in maintaining standards, completing audits, and delivering exceptional care
We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:
  • Minimum 1 year’s experience as a Senior Support Worker supporting individuals with complex mental health needs
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
  • Strong multi-tasking, time-management, and organisational skills
  • Competence in IT and administrative tasks
  • A positive, proactive "can-do" attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Compassion, professionalism, and a genuine passion for supporting others
  • Confidence working independently and as part of a team
  • The ability to manage challenging behaviour and conflict
