Job summary

Voyage Care in Bo'ness is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead our supported living service. You will work with a dynamic team to help our residents gain independence and improve quality of life.

The role involves supervising shifts, training new staff, ordering medication, and assisting with finances under the direction of the Service Manager. A Level 3 in Health & Social Care and prior senior experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker with Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience supporting individuals with enhanced support needs (including mental health, autism, trauma).
• Ability to allocate shifts, supervise staff, and manage service operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager with day-to-day supervision and management of the service.
• Allocate shifts, book training, induct new colleagues and support supervision.
• Order medication and help people manage their finances.
• Support residents to gain more independence and meet goals.

Senior Support Worker – Bo'ness - £31,558.80 per annum

Typical Shifts are: 2 week rolling rota

Week 1 Mon Tues Sat Sun

Week 2 Wed Thurs Frid

We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our supported living service in Bo'ness. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

We’re interested in our Senior Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values. This is why at this service our Seniors should have previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care as well as experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviour's of distress, mental health conditions, acquired brain injury, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma.
