Job summary

Careline Lifestyles - Wilkinson Park in Harbottle, Morpeth is seeking a Senior Support Worker to lead a team of Support Workers and ensure outstanding person-centred care. You will provide hands-on support with daily living activities, promote independence, and contribute to care planning while safeguarding residents' dignity.

The role includes administering medication, liaising with multidisciplinary teams, families and external professionals, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Safe Handling of Medication Certificate is required.
• Enhanced DBS check is required.
• Previous experience in a care or medical setting.
• Caring, patient and empathetic with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and support Support Workers to maintain high standards of care.
• Deliver personal care promoting independence, dignity and choice.
• Coordinate activities, outings and social opportunities for residents.
• Attend MDT meetings and contribute to assessments and care planning.
• Safely administer medications in line with policies and laws.
• Maintain accurate records including daily notes and incident reports.
• Assist in developing and updating individual care plans and risk assessments.
• Support mobility and rehabilitation activities.
• Assist during meals to ensure nutritional support.
• Uphold hygiene and infection-control standards.
• Report changes in residents' health or needs promptly.
