Job summary

Positive Futures in Northern Ireland is seeking a Senior Support Worker at our Lisburn service to provide high quality, person‑centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism or brain injury while mentoring staff.

You’ll lead on coordinating reviews, supervise teams, and support staff with active support and behaviour management plans. A QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is preferred, with willingness to work toward it.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months paid experience in health and social care or community setting.
• Experience leading a shift or acting as a key worker and coordinating reviews.
• Basic digital skills to record notes and use rostering or care systems.
• Full UK driving licence to meet role requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take lead on developing, reviewing and evaluating person-centred plans.
• Provide supervision to staff and act as Shift Leader when needed.
• Coordinate reviews with service users, families and others.
• Promote best practice in personal care and Positive Behaviour Support.
• Induct, coach and mentor staff in active support and behaviour management.
• Maintain oversight of records, finances, medication and health and safety.
