Responsibilities:
  • Perform hands-on maintenance to ensure critical systems remain operational
  • Monitoring systems to ensure maximum availability
  • Support the wider development team in working through critical issues remediate them
  • Identifying technical risks/opportunities and proactively developing plans to mitigate and realise them
  • Maintain accurate documentation including a record of issues and faults along with solutions
  • Implementing DevOps and/or SRE best practices as required on relevant systems

We are looking for:
  • Hands on experience of supporting and debugging of complex live operational systems including monitoring of logs through tools suck as Splunk / ELK stack
  • Ability to pro-actively manage own tasking and react to higher priority tasks
  • Experience of Linux server administration
  • Experience in technologies such as Apache NiFi, MinIO/ AWS S3
  • Experience managing and patching Java and Python applications
  • Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker / Podman and deployment technologies such Kubernetes / OpenShift

Role clearance type:You must currently hold the highest level of UK Government clearance
