Job summary

Sword Group is seeking a Senior Subsurface Data Manager to lead the data landscape for client projects in Aberdeen. This on-site role supports Geoscience and Exploration teams with high-quality, accessible data across well and seismic datasets.

You will drive data lifecycle activities, governance standards, and stakeholder collaboration while maintaining accurate corporate repositories and data inventories. On-site presence in Aberdeen is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing subsurface data within E&P environments.
• Strong working knowledge of SLB Petrel and Studio, including loading and management of well/seismic data.
• Understanding of upstream subsurface data workflows and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and lead development of the subsurface data landscape across projects.
• Manage client requirements for Exploration and Geological Well & Seismic data, including data receipt, loading, conversion, transfer, and archiving.
• Act as interface between Geoscience and Data Management for collaboration and alignment.
• Conduct data quality assessments and ensure data consistency across repositories.
