Job summary

The Green Recruitment Company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial management of a 132kV substation construction project in the UK. You will oversee cost control, financial reporting, subcontractor management and contract administration to ensure delivery within budget.

Key duties include managing budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow; preparing estimates and valuations; administering NEC4 contracts; handling variations and final accounts; and reviewing

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Experience in construction, civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of NEC contracts and subcontractor management.

Responsibilities

• Manage project budgets, cost plans, forecasts and cash flow.
• Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, valuations and reports.
• Administer contracts, including NEC4 where applicable.
• Manage variations, claims and final accounts.
• Review subcontractor quotations and payment applications.
• Validate progress with project managers and engineers.
• Oversee commercial aspects of civil and electrical packages.
