SSE's SSEN Transmission Offshore Portfolio is seeking a Senior Substation Engineer to join our Offshore AC Project Engineering team. The role focuses on Island projects, grid connection to HVDC systems, and delivering a net-zero transmission network.
The successful candidate will review and approve substation designs (33kV–400kV), promote best practice, and guide Project Engineers. A Chartered Engineer or progression toward chartered status is preferred.
For this role, we require successful applicants to be based from one of our Scottish locations - Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen & Inverness.
£59,800 - £89,800 + car /car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Our Island projects facilitate the connection to our HVDC systems and include state-of the-art AC plant, grid control and stabilisation technology.
