Job summary

Orion Group, Aberdeen-based, is seeking a Senior Subsea Execution Engineer to lead execution of subsea intervention, IRM and decommissioning campaigns across company assets. The role is based in Aberdeen and will require close coordination with offshore teams and contractors to ensure safe, efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline.

• Strong grasp of safety, risk management and regulatory compliance offshore.

Our client is a leading North Sea operator currently recruiting for the position of Senior Subsea Execution Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of subsea intervention, IRM and decommissioning campaigns across company assets.
• Provide technical oversight and assurance throughout planning, mobilisation, execution and close-out activities.
• Build effective relationships with offshore contractors, vessel providers and key internal stakeholders.
• Drive a proactive safety culture through risk identification, assessment and mitigation.
• Support and develop colleagues, providing leadership and acting as deputy to the Subsea Team Lead when required.
• Champion operational excellence, continuous improvement and cost-conscious decision-making.

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
• Significant experience delivering subsea operations, interventions or offshore execution campaigns.
• Demonstrable experience managing contractors, vessel operations and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of safety, risk management and regulatory compliance within offshore operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Current offshore certification (including survival, medical and MIST) and professional registration or chartership would be advantageous.
