Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Structures Team at County Hall. The role focuses on design, analysis and maintenance of highway structures, providing strategic guidance and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Health and Safety qualification e.g., NEBOSH/IOSH
• Experience in senior level structural engineering
• Experience supervising a team
• Strong analytical and creative thinking
• Ability to meet tight timescales and targets

Responsibilities

• Lead design, analysis, assessment, maintenance and strengthening of highway structures
• Provide strategic and technical advice to Members, partners and stakeholders
• Manage, monitor and report on Capital and Revenue Structural Maintenance budgets
• Coordinate feasibility through to construction and ensure best value for money
