Job summary

Wentworth Technical Services is seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee planning and execution of specialist structural works across London and the UK. You will work closely with senior management to ensure labour, materials, plant and equipment are allocated efficiently on live projects.

The role focuses on coordinating project activities, monitoring progress, maintaining safety and quality, and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in construction, civil engineering or specialist structural works.
• Experience in concrete repair, structural remedials, CFRP, hydraulics and jacking, strengthening works or structural alterations.
• Good technical understanding of structures, load paths, materials, plant and equipment.
• Commercial awareness, including cost control, programme management, variations and budgets.
• Strong communication skills and confident site presence.
• Ability to manage site teams, subcontractors and project documentation.
• Computer literate.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate labour, materials, plant and equipment to support safe and efficient project delivery.
• Monitor project progress, programme, costs, variations and commercial performance.
• Liaise with clients, engineers, site teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with quotations, scope, programme and client requirements.
• Review and manage RAMS, work briefs, ITPs, drawings, site reports, photographs and project documentation.
• Track variations and raise RFIs where required.
• Coordinate weekly work schedules for site teams.
