Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Planner for the structural steel sector in Wakefield. The role sits across Estimating, Commercial, Production and Construction, turning input from teams into a deliverable programme.

You will develop and maintain detailed programmes using Asta Powerproject and Primavera P6, ensuring sequencing, resources and deadlines are aligned. Strong cross-team coordination and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in project planning or programming within construction or structural steelwork.
• Able to produce detailed project programmes from multi-disciplinary information.
• Strong understanding of programme logic, dependencies and sequencing.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender information.
• Experience meeting demanding tender and project deadlines.
• Confident coordinating information across Estimating, Commercial, Production and Construction teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed tender, pre-construction and live project programmes using Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6.
• Build programmes around real fabrication, construction, resource and sequencing requirements.
• Coordinate information from Estimating, Commercial, Production and Construction to create one delivery programme.
• Identify critical paths, dependencies, risks and constraints before they become problems.
• Challenge assumptions and work with operational teams to find practical alternatives when required.
• Maintain programmes throughout the project lifecycle and communicate progress and key dates.
