Elite Hire seeks a Structural Engineer to join a client in London and contribute to high-profile projects across the UK and beyond.

The role offers a varied workload and opportunities to develop professionally, both personally and within a collaborative team. You will support site visits, liaise with clients and colleagues, and work on major commissions for national and international teams.

Qualifications

• UK accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in a structural engineering consultancy environment.
• Attained or near Chartered Engineer status.
• Good health and safety practices in the workplace and design.
• Commitment to knowledge acquisition and CPD.
• Fully IT literate; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Suitability for UK security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural design (Eurocode & British Standards) in various materials.
• Assist in delivering projects on time and to budget.
• Exercise autonomy in decision making to achieve team objectives.
• Comply with quality management and technical excellence systems and project procedures.
• Assist in contract administration of projects.
• Undertake site visits and surveys.
• Liaise with clients, architects and other design team members to develop designs.
• Work as part of a larger team on major commissions across national and international teams.

Education

BEng(Hons) or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering

Experience in structural engineering consultancy environment

Chartered Engineer status (or near)

Health and safety practices

CPD

IT literate (MS Office)

Communication skills (written & verbal)

UK security clearance suitability
