Job summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join a Bangor-based consultancy delivering domestic alterations, extensions and bespoke residential projects across North Wales. You will lead design, analyses and reports, manage projects from concept to construction, and mentor junior engineers.
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, is Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE/IStructE), and has strong experience in residential structural
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Chartered or working towards chartership (ICE or IStructE).
- Strong experience in residential structural engineering.
- Confident producing calculations and technical reports.
- Familiarity with steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete.
- Strong communication skills and client relationship management.
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis across residential and commercial projects.
- Produce structural calculations, drawings, and reports.
- Manage projects from concept through to construction.
- Liaise with architects, contractors, and clients.
- Conduct site visits and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development.
